Beneath the shade of ancient olive groves, lemon orchards and inebriating vineyards, stands the agritourism Galatea. Located on the hills of Piano di Sorrento, Galatea extends over 14000 square metres,across from the gulf of Naples. In this oasis of peace and tranquillity, a few minutes away from desirable locations such as Capri, Amalfi, Ischia, Positano, Pompei,etc,rediscover the aromas and tastes of genuine traditional cusine handed down through generations of mothers and daughters throughout the centuries. On the farm, five generations of breeding cattle have rewarded Galatea with succulent meats and top quality milk, which a used only on the farm in the Galatea restaurant. Home grown pork is used in making exquisite cold cuts and salame. Rabbit and chicken are carefully seasoned and barbequed.Various fruit trees and plants are also cultivated, to produce delicious marmalades, jams, and liquers. Vineyards produce Galateas outstanding wines. The olive groves produce the finest quality olive oil,long ago by hand,the antique oil-mill still stands today in the courtyard.In 1955 the new oil-mill was installed, keeping with traditon,the mill extracts the oil at it's purest state. All our genuine products can be found exclusively on our premises, and are sold directly to our clients. The perfect destination for your vacation: relaxation, close contact with nature, great food, cooking classes,gardening classes,solarium. For those who wish to explore the rest of the peninsula,all tourist locations are situated near-by. We also provide guided hiking tours for the truly adventurous!
